It's Gone!

The dollar movie theater (which actually cost two dollars everyday other than Tuesday) my wife and I go to is gone.

No more seeing a movie in the theater, except on special occasions (too expensive).

No more taking the kids to the theater - with four it really adds up.

Bummed about this... still and it's ben gone since July 5th. They are tearing it down to put up a mega-gigantic theater instead. Wish I hadn't bought Kristen a bunch of gift cards to the place at Christmas time (we liked going to the movies together on our date night).

Anyway, just had to express my sadness in regards to this. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but a fun activity for us now out of reach.

Unless you all know of another one :)

The Ogden 6 is 3.00

Yes, anonymous you are correct, but after you add in the cost of driving there, it would have been cheaper to just go to a full price movie theater closer to our home :(

Radio Shopping Show WBIG AM 1280

You can get theater tix 40-60% off and other family fun stuff discounted. wbig1280.com Or, pop a DVD into the Orchard system and watch in on the big screen! Oh. Did I say that out loud?

I feel ya - I don't take my family out to movies either because of the cost. Sorry for you loss.

I like the idea of putting in DVDs on the big screen at the Orchard. You guys could have a Friday date night deal once a month. Get some of the teenagers to watch the kids and put in a movie.

I like.

Of course, I live in AZ, so that doesn't really help us.

Yeah, movies have just gotten so expensive lately. Taking my wife and kids to a movie can sure put a dent in the pocketbook (not that I'm like 75 years old and carry a pocketbook or anything)
