First let me say to all of you who have been following the twitter and praying for Todd and his family... thank you. There was a lot of peace and comfort felt as the result of those prayers.
I am confident that God is going to do something great through all of this.
Please check out Scott's blog or the Orchard blog on the latest.
Thank you also for your care, prayers and concern for my wife and I and our family.

I'm so sorry Mike for your loss. My thoughts, prayers and heart will continue to be with you and your family as well as Paula and the boys. Huge hugs to all of you!
We're praying for you guys and we are especially praying for Paula and the boys.

Mike-
What a heartbreak--just nothing I can imagine. God is the great comforter and I know he will be with Paula and those boys throughout this. Yet, I also realize how lost they must all feel at the same time.
I am grateful that both you and Pastor Hodge and likely others were with Todd and his family. Sometimes that is the one thing we can do - is walk with our loved one up to the gates of Heaven and with absolute faith place them in our Father's hands and then we must turn and make the journey back. A tough journey. My thoughts and prayers are with Paula, those precious boys, the Mitchell family, you and Pastor Hodge and your families and our church family during this journey back. I'm so sorry.
We don't always understand why God does the things He does. But He is the great Comforter. You are all in our prayers and truly on our hearts.

I am so sorry to hear about Todd's passing. I will continue to pray for you and the family and especially his wife right now.
Brother man, Stacey and I pray for you and the family. Ever since we heard about what was going on, we've been praying for the Mitchell family. I'm sorry.
Mike, I know you're right and God WILL make something great come of this, but that doesn't mean that this doesn't SUCK!
I didn't know Todd but I get a glimpse of the great loss as I read your (and Scott's) words. and contrary to what too many Christians say, death isn't natural... it's the result of a broken, sin-cursed world that Jesus will one day re-make.
Right now, I'm praying for you and for Todd's wife and kids... for peace, sweet memories and an awesome reunion to come!
Paula, we have your family and friends in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. You and the boys are much loved by us, and we think and pray for you daily. Sometimes it seems impossible to understand why things happen the way they do; we can try to take comfort in the fact that he is in a beautiful, peaceful place and that so many people have been touched in their lives by Todd. He was a natural leader, and friend—he had the unique ability to make everyone feel special and important. Whenever Ron and I on our canoe or road trips fantasized about dream companies that would innovate life as we know it and save the planet, Todd’s name would always come up as the right guy to be heading the team. He was highly intelligent but never patronizing, and had a great sense of humor too. And, he was a darn good musician. Ron and I will really miss him—we are very fortunate to have had the privilege of knowing him in our lives here. We know we’ll see him again someday; I’ll be sure to bring the ear plugs in case the piano is next to the drum kit.
