Breaking the Silence

New Year. New Post... Really!

No this blog is not dead. Just neglected it a bit. I see it everyday and know that it's there but so much has happened over the last several months.

I actually started feeling a little overwhelmed...haven't posted in a while, what should I write about? It has to be something good to bring people back to reading it (though I am honored that many of you have continued to be faithful).

As a start, I wanted to share some pics from our Christmas Eve services at the Orchard (courtesy of Jen Cresse).

Enjoy!

Downtown Chicago

This last weekend, we had a guest worship leader in town who stayed with my family and I. Taylor had never been to Chicago before so of course we had to have him check out a variety of the great food around here. We also tried to give him a small glimpse of this great city.

Here's a few of the pictures we snapped (yes, believe it or not, I took a few of these myself - though my wife's are the best).

Enjoy!

Stage Pics: From the Current Becoming Series

Becoming... everyone is becoming something, who are you becoming?

This has been a great series so far and we've been able to expand creatively with some decor and elements that we haven't done in some time.

Here are a few of my favorite set pics from the last couple of weeks along with a link to the rest on Picasa (photos by Dan Andersen).

Thoughts?

My Wife and Her Camera

Here's some shots from our latest photo expedition. My wife is a great photographer but she's spent a while away from it. So I picked her up a new camera and I'm trying to get her back into it.

Let me know what you think.

My Wife, The Photographer

My wife used to be really into photography when we first started dating 15 years ago. She has kind of given it up since except for pictures of the kids and projects every now and then.

Lately we've been having conversations about her and her photography and I think if she had the right equipment it would help.

So, I'm on a mission to find a good camera for her.

The more we talk about it the more I think she enjoyed the actual developing of the film back then more than she enjoyed taking the pictures, but I think she has a pretty good eye for texture, color and space.

Here are a few pictures she took of me this last week in about 5 minutes outside the mall with our cheesy camera (her idea).

Which do you like the best?
Peace.
