Just heard on the news tonight that President Gerald Ford died today. The 38th US President, he was a leader of transition. He pardoned the previous leader and moved a nation to the next stage in our history.
Funny that he was so criticized for his forgiveness of President Nixon yet later applauded for it. I guess we don't like to grant forgiveness when wounds are still fresh! Though his pardon of the previous administrations actions helped promote healing while eventually costing him his re-election.
Anyway, a piece of history.
Peace.
